5Excellent Bathroom Fan
By V. Grund
I replaced a noisy and ineffective 1999 Broan 100 CFM fan with this model. This is a great fan. It moves a lot of air, way more than the Broan. My bathroom mirror no longer fogs! The installation was truly heartbreaking but that was not the fan's fault. It is extremely quiet - shockingly so. The light is very bright although white. That is not an issue for me but it may be for some. If it is, I suggest looking for a bulb with a warmer color temperature. The integrated damper is effective at stopping drafts when the fan is not in use.

If you are going to the trouble of installing any excellent Panasonic fan, do yourself a favor and do the ducting right as well. It is a big factor in the performance of the fan. All sorts of guidance is available on the net, the core advice being to use as smooth and as short a duct as possible.

4Ugly but effective and quiet!
By Joshua Sukenick
I needed a low profile fan to fit in my 80 year old floor structure... I was very concerned because even though this is quiet I had to mount it against the flooring above. I was shocked at how quiet this fan is. It fit great and mounted much easier than the more expensive fan I bought a Lowes for my other bathroom. Very pleased with the quality and the air movement. Especially pleased with how quiet it is. Only thing I don't like is how ugly the visable part is. The wavey light part seems silly to me, though necessary for the low profile fit. And how often do you look at the ceiling anyway? I highly recommend this product.

5The best that I have found.
By Terry M.
I installed a Panasonic exhaust fan for the first time about six years ago. Quiet operation was essential for that installation and a Panasonic model was the only readily available unit that met the requirement. That unit was so impressively well built that I started installing other Panasonic units whenever a job called for a residential exhaust fan.

Pros: 1) well built, 2) quiet, 3) excellent air flow, 4) provided with plenty of hardware for a variety of different installation scenarios, 5) the electrical junction box is big enough to complete the connections without having to jam the wires in to close it, 6) several customers have said how much they like the night-light feature.

Con: Too quiet for some customers. If you are trying to cover up other bathroom noises this is not the unit to use. My solution is to install a Panasonic to get the water vapor from the shower out of the room and a cheapy fan with a switch next to the toilet as a noise maker.
