The Panasonic FV-11VF2 WhisperFit 110 CFM fan has a totally enclosed condenser motor and a large, double suction blower wheel to quietly move air. The blower wheel is designed to draw air in from both sides allowing more area for the air to enter the wheel. Panasonic fans are quiet enough that you might not even know they're on. With a 10.5 sone level and rated 110 cubic feet per minute, this fan is designed to give you continuous, trouble-free operation for many years due to its high-quality components and permanently lubricated motors which wear at a slower pace. We designed the electrical configuration of this model's condenser motor to allow it to operate at lower temperatures, increasing the life of the motor and bearings. And, the fan housing is made of heavy-gauge zinc galvanized steel and painted to protect it from rust. Excellent ventilation, very quiet & fits 3" or 4" duct. Fairly easy to install as a replacement unit with minor mounting modifications.

Just finished installing the 110 CFM model and thought I'd say a few words about how it went. First of all, this was installed in a bathroom, in order to replace another model that had failed. There is no access from above, so everything had to be done from below. A few others have noted that they completed the installation from below by removing "thumb screws" that hold the motor to the housing. This may have been the case with earlier models, but the thumb screws are no longer found on these. You need an extra long screwdriver to remove screws that attach the motor assembly to the housing, not a big problem, but I just wanted to point it out. Further, the instructions clearly say that this model cannot be installed without attic access. Well, it can...not easily..but it can be done. I had to remove the vent pipe assembly from the housing (if you are keeping track, I now had three separate pieces: housing, motor assembly, vent assembly)and reach through the hole and wire the vent assembly (which also contains the electrical assembly)as well as attach the vent hose. Not a big deal. I then mounted the vent assembly to the side of the hole, using the flange at the bottom. I then slid the housing onto it, screwed the flange to the ceiling, and then slid the motor unit into the housing. A couple of words about how quiet this is...you'll see some reviewers say that it is "silent" and they could not tell it was running. While I cannot speak for lower CFM models, I can tell you that this is far from silent. It is hooked toa 4" hose, so that shouldn't be causing restriction and any increase in sound. Nevertheless, it is not TOO loud, and many times quiter than the Broan that I had, so I am not complaining at all, just pointing out that if you think that you won't hear it, then buyer beware. Looks to be a quality unit (especially as compared to the one that I pulled out) and I expect many years of service from it. Oh, one final thing...the description indicate that this has a baffle that will keep air from coming back "in" from outside. Well, it does have a baffle, but it is only 3/4 the size of the outlet..not even close to an airtight seal. You must have a baffle in-line or at the end of the vent tube. The one that comes attach to the unit is virtually useless.

Purchased for bathroom remodel. Used on wall instead of ceiling. Remember to keep direction of air flow in mind when installing. Keep exhaust conduct short if possible. Standard 4 inch diameter.
